Jeff grew up in Southern California during the heyday of skateboarding, BMX, and Punk Rock. This amalgam of styles is largely reflected in the way he lives his current life.

His first job was in a bike/skate shop which turned into over 20 years in the action sports industry. Jeff built motorcycles as a hobby until one day he was offered a job in publishing. 

Holt started as a freelance journalist for bicycle and motorcycle magazines, which was his first foray into writing.

Jeff then became the Editor and then the Brand Director of Street Chopper, Hot Bike, and Baggers Magazines.

Jeff then parted ways with print motorcycle media and started V-Twin Visionary, which is a multi-faceted media and marketing company dealing in custom and performance American motorcycles.
